In Loving Memory of Knox Martin

KMF was founded in honor and loving memory of beloved son, brother, friend, and Warrior Edward Knox Martin III. Knox's life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with brain cancer in September 2017. Despite the challenges posed by surgeries, treatments, and setbacks, Knox exemplified resilience throughout his brain cancer journey by continuing to set goals and embrace life to the fullest. Knox fought brain cancer for three inspiring years, and succumbed to the clutches of Glioblastoma in December 2020. He was 24 years old when he passed.
Knox's life and legacy inspire the work we do at KMF each and every day. We are so grateful to have known him.

The Knox Martin Foundation's mission is to fund innovative research on aggressive brain cancers to give Warriors like Knox a shot at a longer life. KMF's vision is a world where a GBM diagnosis is treatable and curable.

KMF works directly with medical research partners at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke to fund innovative research for clinical trials and life saving treatments.
